Registration

We hope you enjoy our tournaments. We are not able to process registrations over the internet. However, we have a registration form you may print out and mail in or bring to a club meeting, or to the tournament itself. Use Form 4 for our usual one-day tournaments. Do not use Form 4 for special or unusual tournaments such as quick chess or two-day events. Other forms will be provided for them.

Instructions for Form 4

Fill out the fields on the top of the form. Your name and USCF ID number are required. You must be a USCF member to play in a rated tournament. Write your rating if you have one and know what it is. If you wish to request any byes, put this in the bye request field. Address and email are optional. Indicate whether or not you wish to be added to the SCC's emailing list (described here).

Entry fee is $17 for an advance entry, or $20 at the door. SCC members get a $2 discount. Entries must be received by the day before the tournament to count as advance entries.

If you are not a member of the SCC and would like to join, or if you are a member and would like to renew, you can add SCC dues to your entry fee. Joining the club immediately qualifies you for the $2 member discount on entry fee. If you are a new member, please be sure to completely fill out your contact information at the top of the form. New members may also qualify for pro-rated dues, see here for more details about this.

Write any additional information you may have in the blank space at the bottom of the form. This is the place to make requests such as not to be paired against a family member. We will try to accomodate reasonable requests, but no guarantees.

Mail the form with your check to the address on the form, or bring it to any club officer at a weekly meeting.

Instructions for Form 5

Form 5, for larger tournaments, is identical to Form 4 except in the entry fee. Entry fee is $42 for an advance entry, or $52 at the door. SCC members still get a $2 discount.
