Be sure your USCF membership will be current on the date of the tournament - bring a membership card or a receipt, or you can join/renew on-site.
Bring your board, set, and clock - these are not provided.
Bring a map to get here if you think you need one.
Any questions? Ask today - the morning of the tournament is too late!

We are holding a free "mini tournament"!
When: Saturday, May 2, 2026
Where: Lincoln Library, 326 S. 7th St. (Maps/directions here) Multipurpose room, second floor.
Schedule: Library opens at 10 a.m., play from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
3 games of G/30, additional shorter games possible if time permits.
Free and open to the public - No entry fee, no prizes. Separate sections for rated (USCF members) and unrated (non-members).

Our next regular USCF-rated tournament is the "SCC Golden Jubilee Open"!
When: Saturday, August 1, 2026
Where: Southern View Village Hall, 3410 South 5th St. (Maps/directions here)
Schedule: Registration 9-9:45, Rounds 10, 1, 3:30, 6. Lunch break after round 1. Time limit: G/60, d/5 if using delay.
Entry fee: $17 by 3/25, $20 on-site, $2 discount for SCC members.
Prize fund: $400 based on 30 entrants. 1st-2nd 140-80, 1400-1799 60, 1000-1399 50, Under 1000 40, Unrated 30.

In honor of the 50th anniversary of the Springfield Chess Club, we will pass out pamphlets about the history of the club and hold a raffle immediately before round 4!
