Our Club Logo

In 2023, the Springfield Chess Club adopted a new logo designed by Andrew Ferguson. It depicts a chess piece whose upper section is the dome of the Illinois State Capitol.

It replaces the previous logo, a knight on a checkered background, designed by Thomas Barnard and used with some variations since 1993.
