The SCC will soon begin another rated double-round robin tournament, played over the course of two months at our weeknight club meetings, beginning on Monday, May 13. This offers Springfield players an alternative to our Saturday tournaments and also acts as a fund raiser for the club.

Here is a list of guidelines for the tournament:

• This is a double round robin; each player gets two games, one with each color, against every other player.
• Time limit is G/30, with a 5-second delay if using a delay clock.
• Entry fee is a flat $5. (There is no club discount for this event.) Late entries are ok.
• This is a USCF-rated event. All USCF tournament and membership regulations apply, including touch-move and scorekeeping. All participants must be USCF members through at least June 2019.
• Games may be played in any order, at any club meeting. Those who are sensitive to noise may want to give preference to the meetings at the library.
• Be sure to report your results promptly! All games must be completed by the end of the club meeting on Wednesday, June 26.
